PLANNING THE NEXT24 HOURS: There is still an ALERT DAY for late tonight into early Thursday morning for the possibility of strong storms. Storms will develop ahead and along a cold front. They likely won't enter our area until after midnight, but all modes of severe weather would be possible, however, our biggest threat will be damaging winds and heavy rain. It will stay warm and humid tonight with temperatures remaining in the lower to mid 70s.
EXTENDED FORECAST:Scattered storms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening, although Wednesday night's storms may take away energy on Thursday for widespread strong storms. The First Warn Weather Team will continue to keep a close eye on this. By Friday, temperatures will cool down a bit, and that will last heading into the weekend, with rain chances decreasing.
